Am I on track to become a success or a failure? I asked myself this question after copying the following quote,
“Everyone has the same number of hours in a day. It’s what you decide to do with yours that determine your success or failure in life.” (unk)
First, how would you answer the question, are you on track to become a success or a failure in your chosen endeavor?
Clearly it depends on what your goal is and how you are choosing to spend your time each day.
I think the problem arises, over a long period of time, where you have set your goal to do one thing, but you decide to or found yourself in a position where you’ve had to spend your hours doing something different.
Or maybe you have gotten to a point in time where you’ve realized that you spent all of your time and energy laying out plans to accomplish your goal but failed to pull the trigger.
They say “life is a game of chess and the player opposite you is time”. Time is the master of the game that you may not know you are playing.
If we all had unlimited time to accomplish our tasks and goals, we would all be successful.
I am in awe of the superwoman who has a PHD, a house, husband, 6 beautiful kids and run a multi million dollar company that she started.
There are variations of this woman out there. She is super confident, has mastered time management, knows how to delegate and gets things done in time.
Let this blog post serve as a reminder that we should stay focus on our goals and never take time for granted.
My answer to the question, am on track to be a success or failure in my endeavor is “sometimes I’m on track and sometimes I am off, but I realize that the bottom line will depend on how I have chosen to spend my time”.
Okay my friend, leave a comment and tell me how you would answer the question also how are your time management skills.
