Hello friends, when you sell products or services or operate an organization or have a blog, to be successful you must inform as many people as possible about what you sell or do.
I want my blog to succeed. For this to happen, I must get it in front of as many people as possible. Therefore I am always looking for business promotion ideas and tips that I can use.
Here are 15 I found that may be helpful to you as you build your organization. They appear in no particular order.
E-Mail List: One of the first things you should always do is start developing an email list. Business is about relationship building. Your email list will give you access to your customers and prospects at the tap of a button 365 days a year. Contact them often.
Target Market: Narrow your target market as much as possible and then target your ads directly to them. Doing this will give you more value for the dollars you spend on advertising.

Announcement: One of the first things I did when starting my blog is put information announcing my blog on business cards. I chose to use business cards because they are inexpensive, small and easy to handle. After receiving the cards I started handing them out to everyone. I gave small batches to family and friends to hand out.
Direct Mail: Use direct mail. To make sure your message is read, it is smart to use post cards, which are cheaper than First Class Mail. Mailing pieces sent in envelopes are often discarded without being read. You can mail to people on your mailing list and/or you can purchase a mailing list of 100 people or of thousands of people from a mailing list broker.
Plan: Successful advertising and promotion is the results of careful planning. First Identify your goal and your budget.
Imprinted Items: Have your company name imprinted on pens, mugs, calendars, etc. They will serve as your silent salesmen and goodwill ambassadors as the recipients use them daily.
Business Cards: It is easy to take business cards for granted. They are an important part of your business tool kit. It is important to pay attention to details as you create your card. People look at your business card and immediately start to form an impression of you and your business. On some occasions a person will see your business card before they meet you. Your business card is a tiny portable sign that has the important job of introducing and representing your business as well as delivering the message of how to contact you 24/7.
Classes: Teaching a class is a very popular way of bringing groups of people together to promote your endeavor. I recently attended a class held on Zoom. It only cost $35 and 1,000 tickets were sold. It lasted about one hour. It was led by a “regular” person who created a following on YouTube. This experience was enjoyable and it taught me that with a good message this is something I or anyone can do successfully.
Your Competition: Study your competition. How do they advertise?
Write: Write an article about your business and submit it to article publishing sites or blogs.
Free Merchandise: Give free merchandise, samples or service. Always give in the name of your business or organization. In doing this your company will receive positive publicity as well as gain the goodwill of the public.
Newsletter: A newsletter is a great way to keep contact with your mailing list. It is a great relationship builder. It can consist of just one page sent on a regular basis.
Advertising: To be effective advertising and promotions should be repeated over and over again. When business is good, advertise. When business is bad, advertise more. The newer the business the more you should advertise.
Social Media: Engage on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram consistently. Promote your business and direct traffic to your web site. Use hash tags.
Word of Mouth: Word of Mouth Recommendations are one of the best forms of free advertising. You earn this type advertising through giving superior service and forming good business relationships. A person recommended by a friend is 4 times more likely to buy from you. Also, people recommended have an almost 40% higher customer retention rate. Let your customers know that you would appreciate it if they would recommend or refer your business or organization to family and friends.
