I love sharing home based business information and motivational /inspirational posts, but my innermost dream is to actually establish a real home based business.  My attempts have been very scattered and inconsistent. My grandson said, “Grandma, you’re too old to do that”. I told him, “Son, your dreams don’t disappear because you are a certain age, they only disappear if you stop dreaming”.

Today, I have made the decision to introduce a new element to my blog, with the assistance of my daughter Danielle. Dani is currently employed in a full-time job as well as a part-time virtual job. She would like to quit the virtual job in order to have more control of her time.  She has decided to establish a home based business in order to replace income she would lose if she quit the part-time job. Her business would be centered around marketing the distinctive crafts she produces.

We have agreed to participate in a one year experiment. It is for each of us to establish a home based enterprise. This experiment will end December 31, 2024. At that time we will participate in a final evaluation of our experiment’s success and/or failure.

As the purpose of my blog expands for this year and becomes more than a platform for curating home-based business information, we invite you to witness firsthand our work as we gather and apply the data necessary to establish and grow each of our ventures.

Finally, let me reiterate, Dani and I are each  trying  to actualize our dream of earning income from home.  We have agreed that, starting where we are, we will be as transparent as possible as we proceed step by step, sharing information and feedback, and above all holding each other accountable during this year. The question is, as we travel this road, can we motivate each other to work and stay the course long enough to really experience a significant level of success?
