What Do You Do?

What do you do when you are over 60 years old and you have successfully completed your work career, your children  are grown and doing fine and you have a good position in your church and community.  From the outside everything looks fine, as it should. Everyone thinks you should now relax and enjoy the rest of your life doing much of nothing.

But stirring in you is the feeling that it is not over, you are not finished, that you still have dreams and goals not realized.  What do you do?

Do you ignore that little voice in your head that keeps coming up with ideas and visions of what it would mean to you to successfully accomplish your goal, or do you ignore that voice because you think your goal is unobtainable–or do you embrace that little voice and use it as fuel to start a new journey?

I believe you should go for it regardless of obstacles or how short you think your runway is.  Your dreams have survived in you for a reason.

I am 79 years old, and I still enjoy writing, collecting meaningful quotes, visiting thrift shops, and selling some of my special finds in my eBay store, JUS4U. More than anything, my goal is to be part of a community of people who can encourage, inspire, and support one another as we continue pursuing our dreams — no matter our age or stage in life. I truly believe we are stronger together, and I hope you, the reader, will stay in touch and  join us on our journey.
